Mamaterial Girl!- My collection of accessories :)

I made it my plan that today I'll sort out my cabinet and evaluate the things I have accumulated over the years. I've been away from home for such a long time that this is the only opportunity I have to fix and rearrange them.

It was like a therapy, I was able to reconnect with many of my old things. Those things that I've forgotten I have. I am a woman of bags, accessories and etc. Simplicity isn't really my style when it comes to my fashion statement. I like dangling earrings, big rings, bangles and gold jewelries.

Perhaps this can be attributed to some of my favorite fashion icons like Elizabeth Taylor, Sarah Jessica Parker, Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez. I like to put things together that doesn't really go together but somewhat creates a statement once your done. I believe that fashion need not to be expensive, I appreciate accessories of all sort. What is important is that it is an expression of your style and it adds up to your confidence and self-esteem.

I am also not afraid of heights, I love heels and studded flat forms. I also love gladiator sandals and alike. These things have somewhat became a part of me I'll often be seen with them. To me these are my things that make it really fun being a girl! ^_^

Putting these up is just something I really enjoyed doing today, it feels great to know that your stuffs are organized or somewhat at least hehe, hope I can keep it neat for a while :)

it adds detail to any fashion statement!

Unending Love by Rabindranath Tagore

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.

Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, it's age-old pain,
It's ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star piercing the darkness of time:
You become an image of what is remembered forever.

You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers, shared in the same
Shy sweetness of meeting, the same distressful tears of farewell-
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.

Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man’s days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours –
And the songs of every poet past and forever.

Another Pink Saturday!

Just enjoying my pink shades, pink bag, floral dress and slippers! I love how I can still wear semi-casual clothing while enjoying a cup of coffee and the beach despite the heat of the sun and sand. January is a somehow a cooler month for a tropical country like the Philippines. Only in Subic! Hope everyone had a fine weekend. Can't wait for February- love, love, love! :)

Inspired by Ms. Kris: My humble abode what keeps me home ^_^

As the saying goes, "there is no place like home", but I believe that I am in the best place in the world when I am in my room! :) A place where I can just be, to relax, to rest or to reflect.

Ever since I saw the interiors of Ms. Kris Aquino's home in the September issue of Yes Magazine, I have always longed to redecorate my room similar to her's. Not of course in the exact same way because first of all I don't have the budget hehe, let me just get that clear. :)

I just wanted it to exude the same splash of colors and feminine touch. Although my favorite color is pink, I liked how purple, red and green were combined together with some touches of pink on the side. It looks very modern yet elegant, I like how it seemed to reflect the character of the lady of the house.

So I tried to incorporate items which includes colors like what I saw in the magazine, my bed sheet has a touch of green and purple, the stuff toys as well, but since pink is my favorite color, my curtains were pink and pretty much the rest of the other stuffs. Perhaps it may not look exactly the same but nonetheless I am happy with the result and I can feel that the I was able to successfully apply my inspiration.

Here it is :)

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th photos were that of Ms. Kris Aquino's home as shown in Yes Magazine (Sept. 2010 issue- pp 48 ,82 and 62 respectively).

I miss SBCA-School of Law :)

Today like any regular day of the week, I woke up, had a cup of coffee and raisin bread; but somehow it seemed that an angel whispered to my ear, make a phone call the one that you've been dreading to do.

It's been several months since I left Alabang to come home, to rest, to edit my paper and to just stay home. When I left, I left and did not come back just yet. I didn't make a call either to check if my grades were already released. I thought I'll wait till it all come out.

That day is today and I am so thankful to the Lord for sending me the good news. I passed in all my subjects except for one LTD (Land, Titles and Deeds) :) But as the saying goes, one cannot have it all. I passed all the others which include, Property, Sales, Negotiable Instruments, Criminal Procedure, Election Law and Banking. I am really grateful because this does not happen all the time. In some cases, failed subjects are at least two or three, sometimes even more.

Suddenly I really miss the Beda, Alabang community. I miss being a law student. The school, the streets, my friends and classmates, the professors and even the staffs. It is not a perfect place of course, not in a utopian kind of way but it is a very good community which encourages growth and development. I have realized that unlike other people I am not the type that does not work very well under pressure, and Beda, Alabang provides that for those who wish to become lawyers but not necessarily racing their way to the bar. I realized that the study of law is like drinking wine, the more slowly you take your sip, the more you enjoy it, the better it gets.

To me without any bias or whatsoever, even if I have only been there for a semester it is one of the best places to be. The academic environment is truly inspiring, the students help each other; and the professors despite the hardships and challenges they cause us, they are very motivating and they teach just as how professors should be.

Truth of the matter is, as of now, I still have doubts if the field of law is really for me... But what transpired today is a great motivation, to do better, to not give up.

For the meantime, I still have my paper to finish, this occasion is just a great event. It somehow uplifted my tired spirit, I can tell myself somehow that despite all my setbacks in the past, despite all my doubts I actually did something good :)

Enter the Water Dragon, 2012!

Welcome Year of the Water Dragon! In celebration of the Chinese new year festivities we enjoyed some dimsum, dumplings and tea for dinner. Feeling gracious for the meal but with a very heavy belly it kept me awake till the wee hours of the night.

On the eve of the holiday I made some cleaning up of my dresser, throwing away old make up, nail polish and etc that clutter my "prettifying corner'. It feels good to see it nice and neat, makes me want to wake up and get up early.

New Year came a little early for me this year, caught in between thoughts (of wanting to be/ not wanting to be) and being sick my realizations came a little late but just in time for this special holiday. Chinese tradition is very rich and it is a great part of our Filipino tradition. I have very high respect and appreciation for their influence and I am glad that there are positive predictions for my sign this year. ^_^ I am keeping my spirits high that indeed it will be a good year for me.

Top 12 realizations at 25

1. I may be sociable but I am really an introvert, hence after mingling in the day I need some lonely hour or so at night to charge up.
2. I like staying home I am very homebound. I think I am a closet full-time housewife want to be :)
3. I like fancy and cute stuffs but not necessarily the branded or expensive ones.
4.My things consist mostly of pinks and reds, I love both color so much.
5. I love to eat more than my desire to be sexy- I'll just go for healthy. Eating is fun!
6. I don't work well under pressure, I'll just go for slowly but surely.
7. I care about what people thinks, sometimes too much. This needs some working on.
8. I miss my old job: Once a teacher, always a teacher- by heart :)
9. My father and I actually clicks, he is cool just as my mother.
10. Love conquers all. Be it in family, friendship or relationship.
11.A love without chains will never have to break free.
12. Life is good, but much better if lived with a close relationship with God. Life with Him makes it complete.

Hey it's only January, there's more for February. :)

Overcoming the blues on a Sunday!

Today I woke up feeling once again the sharp stabbing pain on my lower back, perhaps due to stress. It can also be attributed to the fact that I spent most days sitting at home writing or just staying tuned on the impeachment trial of the Chief Justice, at 9:30 I decided I'll won't join my family for mass, I'll just attend a later one in the afternoon.

But I think an angel whispered to my ears, attitude and disposition can over any kind of pain and blues, and so I did. I got up, showered, iron my hair and put my make-up ritual and wore my glitzy heels. It feels great to be able to hear the mass with my family and have steak date lunch with my father.

Thank you Lord for opening my eyes, not to see the negatives but to be able to count my blessings! :)

Coffee is a way of life

This is what happens when you drink coffee in the morning, during lunch, dinner and sometimes in between :) — at Extremely Expresso Cafe.

Like mother like daughter :)

Some of my friends often wonder why I put scarf on my bag, this can be attributed to my mother, When I was younger I like to imitate her style as we call it in Filipino "may pinagmanahan". I also got from her my fondness for gold, shining and shimmering accessories. Mine is the pink one of course hehe but I like borrowing her things.:)

Prayer Before Exams ( for my friends in Beda, Manila and Alabang)

Image from: http://www.squidoo.com/Christian-Art-for-the-Home

Psalm 121:-

1-2 I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains?
No, my strength comes from God,
who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.

3-4 He won't let you stumble,
your Guardian God won't fall asleep.
Not on your life! Israel's
Guardian will never doze or sleep.

5-6 God's your Guardian,
right at your side to protect you-
Shielding you from sunstroke,
sheltering you from moonstroke.

7-8 God guards you from every evil,
he guards your very life.
He guards you when you leave and when you return,
he guards you now, he guards you always.

"...surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20)

Prayer Before a Test

My God, enable me to trust in the good outcome
of the test I am about to take;
help me to contribute my own share
of optimism and confidence.
With your grace, my God,
I hope to crown my efforts with success.
Keep far from me at this moment
any presumption that it all depends
exclusively on me.
You are next to me, my God,
the necessary and welcome presence
in all the moments of my life.
I will take this test, my God,
because it is important
for my personal development.
My God, be the source of my inspiration
in my doubts and uncertainties,
supporting me with your blessing.

Amen.

Cat on a tree

After being away for quite sometime, our calico cat Ganda is finally home again but she remain hesitant to come down from a tree where she's sitting at :)
