28 Learnings On My 28th

1. Seek first the kingdom of God and the rest shall be added unto you.
2. Jesus saves.
3. Let go, let God. Don't focus on the problem, focus on the Problem Solver.
4. Prayer changes the atmosphere.
5. Each day is a new beginning.
6. Anything is possible, when u believe, this sounds cliche but it really works. Just believe.
7. In order to give love, you must first love yourself, then you can give love and also receive love.
8. Distance makes the heart grow fonder not farther.
9. Forgive then forget. Even if you cannot forget, forgive still because eventually you will forget.
10. We are responsible for our own happiness.
11. An act of kindness goes a long way. Be generous with it.
12. Sometimes it's better to be understanding than to be right. Be a peace keeper, prove your point if you must but never lose respect.
13. It is ok to say no. It is also ok to say yes. It is also ok to say that you are not sure.
14. The point is mean what you say.
15. I am an introvert (i actually thought I was an extrovert).
16. Smiling is therapeutic. It keeps the blues away.
17. No does not always means no, sometimes it means not yet.
18. Whoever said you can't buy happiness, does not know where to shop, haha. Honestly things can make us happy. But it must never be our source of joy.
19. To have joy is knowing that God wants you to be happy. He always has the best intentions for us. Listen to His voice find time to hear His voice.
20. It is ok to be weak sometimes and let other people be there for you. No man is an island.
21. Always be grateful even during hard times. It open doors for breakthrough.
22. There is always a room for improvement. Never stop growing.
23. Work is play when you love what you are doing. Find your passion so you can fulfill your purpose.
24. You become what you think of yourself. It helps to think positive and speak positive words.
25. Never give up on your dreams. You owe it to yourself today and to your future self.
26. When you don't know what to say. Don't say anything. But once you already know, don't let the chance to speak slip by, another chance may never come again.
27. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak. Always guard your heart, everything flows in it and from it.
28. Birthdays are markers of one's growth, a time to be older, a chance to be stronger, a time to be wiser.

“Ang Istruktura ng Edukayson para sa mga Kababaihan noong Panahon ng Amerikano 1925– 1945: Pagtuon sa Mga Naging Simulain ng Maryknoll Sisters sa Pilipinas”

Panimula             Itinatatag noong 1912 ang Kongregasyon ng mga madreng Maryknoll sa Estados Unidos. Nanguna sila sa pagpapadala ng mga misyonaryo partikular sa mga bansa sa Asya. Si Sister Mary Josephine Rogers ( Mother Mary Joseph ) ang kanilang kinikilalang tagapagtatag sa tulong nina Bishop James A. Walsh at Father Thomas Frederick Price. Nauna nang naitatatag ng dalawang paring nabanggit ang grupo ng mga Amerikanong seminarista na nilayong magpadala ng misyon sa iba’t-ibang bansa. Tinawag silang The Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America . Sa paglipas ng mga taon mas kikilalanin ang mga miyembro ng misyong ito bilang mga Maryknoll brothers at sisters.             Tatalakayin sa papel na ito ang mga naging simulain ng kongregasyon ng mga madreng Maryknoll sa bansa. History, How shall I Teach Thee?

That was the question I had to answer when I realized that I wanted to become an educator few months before I graduated from UP. At first, I wanted to become a lecturer in College but because I do not have a Master's Degree yet nor was I a Cum Laude it was not easy for a fresh graduate to be hired, so as soon as my baby-thesis was graded (meaning I will finally march on the stage to get my diploma) I enrolled in the Masters Program of History right before our graduation. I though this might give me a cutting edge. Some of my friends asked, What's the rush? Well for me I know wanted to finish as soon as possible, I wanted to become a professor someday. Now, where did teaching history come into the picture? Simultaneously I also applied for teaching positions in several preparatory schools for college. The application was very exciting for someone who was about to graduate the pursuit of a real job in the real world outside the comfort zone of our University. Then the good news...
